SIZING RECOMMENDATIONS

For most customers, Radix fits true to US shoe size or just slightly snug, especially if keeping the removable insole in.

If unsure, we recommend ordering the next size up for more comfort.

If you are a returning customer, we recommend using the new size guide for Radix instead of going by your previous NL size, in case sizing has been adjusted slightly.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Hand Wash: Soak in a mixture of cold water and liquid laundry detergent. Use a soft bristle toothbrush to scrub the upper, then the sole. Once clean, rinse and air dry.

Do not tumble dry.

WIDE TOE BOX
Your feet were not designed to fit into pointed shoes. Foot-shaped shoes ensure that your biological stabilizers, or toes, have ample room to splay and properly grip the floor, which improves balance and coordination.

ZERO HEEL-TO-TOE DROP
Excessive arch support and elevated heels are making our feet weaker. Radix is perfectly flat from heel to toe, which encourages natural movement patterns and lets your feet do what they were designed to do. This means healthier feet and stronger foot muscles.

Base

a true barefoot experience

Radix is constructed using a flexible rubber outsole that bends and moves with you, encouraging natural movement patterns, strengthening foot muscles, and supporting positive foot health.

Thanks to our proprietary Novus™ Griptech Rubber Compound, the outsole offers industry leading traction, without compromising durability, stability, flexibility, or sensory feedback.

Base
Ultra-Thin Performance

Novus™ Grip Tech

The high performance Radix outsole is 2mm thin, with a 1.3mm tread depth. The total stack height of only 3.3mm makes Radix the thinnest and most sensory barefoot shoe on the market.

Constructed of a specially formulated high-friction rubber compound arranged in our signature herringbone traction pattern, the Radix sole aggressively bites into the ground surface and creates a powerful foundation from which you can execute your heaviest lifts.

Radix - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Radix is our versatile, affordable barefoot‑style shoe with Novus 2.0™ Griptech, a single‑layer upper, and a more flexible sole that allows more natural barefoot movement. Radix Pro upgrades to Novus 3.0™, has a dual‑layer upper, and a slightly more rigid and durable sole. Choose Radix for value; Radix Pro for peak performance.

Yes. Radix’s 3.3mm flat sole provides excellent ground contact for deadlifts, allowing you to feel the floor and drive through your heels. The grippy Novus 2.0 outsole prevents slipping even on slick platforms.

Radix fits true to size for most lifters. If you have particularly wide feet, consider sizing up a half‑size. Compare your measurements to our sizing guide for the most accurate fit.

Radix excels in powerlifting (squat, bench, deadlift), functional fitness, agility drills, and light conditioning. It’s a great all‑around gym shoe for lifters who want barefoot benefits without sacrificing durability.

Yes. Radix features a naturally wide toe box that allows your toes to splay during lifts, improving balance and force production. It’s wider than conventional trainers but not as ultra‑wide as specialty barefoot brands.

Absolutely. Radix’s clean design and comfortable fit make it suitable for casual wear, walking, and light daily activities. The thin sole encourages natural foot movement, which can strengthen foot muscles over time. Just note that the sole can wear down prematurely if used regularly on rough surfaces.

Radix offers similar ground feel and toe‑box freedom without individual toe slots. The full‑foot upper provides more warmth and easier on/off, while the Novus 2.0 outsole delivers comparable grip. Radix is often preferred by lifters for its simplicity.

No. The breathable mesh upper is not waterproof. Avoid puddles and wet conditions—the thin material will allow water to penetrate quickly. For wet‑weather training, choose a different water‑resistant shoe or use Radix indoors only.

With regular gym use (2-3 sessions per week), you can typically expect the outsole to maintain 80% of its grip for 12‑18 months. The rubber is designed to resist abrasion from platform surfaces, but repeated rope climbs, concrete drags, or extended cardio will accelerate wear.

Yes, but it will reduce ground feel. The removable insole provides 2mm of cushion; you can replace it with a thin orthotic (up to 3mm thick). Thicker inserts may compromise fit and the shoe’s barefoot benefits.

Customers praised these lifting shoes for their "insane grip" and wide toe box, providing excellent ground feel for powerlifting. Many noted they're "basically barefoot" yet protective. Some reported sizing runs small—ordering up recommended. A few mentioned tongue sliding and metal eyelets falling out. Overall, highly rated for deadlifts, squats, and bench press at a great price point.

My feet are obsessed with these sneakers!

I researched so many grounding sneakers, it was getting overwhelming. I landed on the RADIX and at the time “took the risk.” I loved the feel so much I found myself wearing them outside the gym and not being able to wear my other sneakers at all. It’s honestly like my feet went on a real journey, felt so many things and can’t go back. I just ordered a white pair. I did get irritation on back where it was touching skin… I wore higher socks for a bit and also changed the direction of laces and it went away. I suppose my only suggestion would be to create an outside walking/hiking shoe. Maybe not the companies focus, but I definitely need an outdoor pair.

Questionable quality.

Metal eyelet fell out of shoelace hole within 3 workouts. Hopefully the shoelace doesn't cut through the remaining material.

Great shoes, but laces were discolored.

I like these better than the Nobull shoes I was lifting in prior. These have a wider toe box and are extremely comfortable. Only negative is that the shoe laces arrived stained/discolored.

First barefoot type shoes. Fantastic

Bought both colors in different sizes. Both sizes fit nicely. The slightly bigger size gives more room on my toes especially for lunges etc. This is my first time wearing barefoot style but it give so much comfort. The grip is fantastic, noticed it when doing lateral run. Much better grip compared my Metcon Free 4. When my heels and toe all grip to the ground, i can engage more lower body muscle much better and my toe fixed on the ground when deadlifting. Some issues i noticed is I need to find suitable socks when wearing Radix because it can cause slippery inside the shoes. Wish they have socks type shoes and maybe range of neutral colors like taupe, nude brown etc. Could wear it as casual shoes as well.

10/10

I'm always on the hunt for lighter, better barefoot shoes. I bought these to lift in, but I love the Raddix so much, they've become my everyday shoe. They're well-built, suuuper grippy, and with the zero drop & wide toe box, they rival my other favorite barefoot shoes. I'm hoping NL releases more color variants in the future so I can buy more of these. 10/10.

^UPDATE- after breaking them in, they don’t hurt while standing. These are the absolute best. The grip is insane. 100% worth the buy. Id go back in time and buy them again!
They kind of hurt if standing for more than a few minutes. And they hurt your toes while doing push ups. But im hoping they just need to be broken in

Quick shipping, solid packaging. Now for the shoe itself. I wear a 10.5 and it’s definitely snug but not too small. My foot is fairly narrow and the toe box isnt too big as other shoes. After wearing the shoe for a circuit workout one time, it broke in and is a perfect fit. Ive worn merell trailgloves for years for lifting and running. This shoe is FAR more accommodating for lifting. Ground feel is as close to barefoot as you csn get. You feet feel absolutely GROUNDED. For the money you wont find anything better.

The shoe was smaller than other size 13's that I have worn. Order a size larger.

Im a 9.5 usually and the 9.5-10 was a good fit. The 9-9.5 was a tad short for me. Width wise wont be a problem for many, they’re pretty wide. Really good traction and grip for heavy lifts, super minimal with alot of ground feel. The small size my brother ended up buying cause he liked them too. For the price its a solid shoe for lifting and functional training

Brett

Overall for the money this shoe is solid. Great grip, very minimal, the look is cool too. Tounge moves a bit but they fixed that woth the radix pro I believe. Hopefully i see a radix pro in all white like this one at some point. I odered 2 pairs caise i wasnt sure on size. I wear a 9.5 usually and the 9.5-10 size was good. The next size down was a tad snug. My brother ended up buying them off me so it worked out.

5 Stars for Customer Service

I'm giving a 5 star review because of customer service. Unfortunately, the size 13 shoe didn't fit so I had to return them. I must say from everything I noticed about the shoe, it looked like a really nice shoe and I was disappointed they don't come in a bigger size. I reached out to initiate a return online and the process went smooth.

Maybe future shoe models will either run true to size or they'll offer a larger size than 13. But if you're in doubt about ordering and how the returns work, you can rest assured it works as it should.

I absolutely am so glad I gave these a shot

I am so glad I gave these a shot. I have worn a lot of other brands, but I always come back to this one for bench in the sumo sole and deadlift in the original shoe. I switched to this shoe, and now I deadlift, bench, and do all my accessories in them. The wide toe box is amazing for gripping the floor, and it has enough support on the bottom that I can walk in rain or snow and it does not soak through the shoes. I have my next competition in January and plan on wearing these.

Weightless and awesome!

These are great and you almost dont even notice you have them on until you need them. Great grip and support where they need to and unnoticeable when you don’t. I also like the look of them 💪🏼

So far so good, but the true test is to see how they hold up in strongman event days for the next couple months.

Feel free to shoot me another review email in 90 days and then I’ll provide the important feedback
